The National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Medicine Committee on Human Gene Editing is planning to hold an open public session on July 12 from 8:45AM-12:30PM EST. At the meeting, invited experts will discuss social issues regarding human gene editing, including race and genetics in US history and the intersection of moral views and public policy. This meeting can only be viewed via webcast.
