At this meeting of the Clinical Effectiveness Research Innovation Collaborative (CERIC), meeting participants will:

1. Explore key action items related to the changing state of clinical research.
2. Summarize key takeaways from recent IOM workshops on clinical research—including Large Simple Trials and Observational Studies—and discuss CERIC next steps.
3. Review the recently released CERIC discussion paper on making the case for learning from routinely collected health data, and discuss potential next steps.
