The Best Practices Innovation Collaborative of the IOM Roundtable on Value & Science-Driven Health Care catalyzes joint activities among the health professions for improvement and innovation in health and health care. At the February 28 meeting, Collaborative members will:

1. Review principles and expectations developed for team-based care to serve as common reference points guiding collaboration to improve care, improve health, and reduce costs.
2. Identify opportunities for collaboration among participants in implementation and spread of the team-based care principles.
3. Consider other potential applications of team-based care principles, including the intersection with research, health informatics, policy and payment.
