Today’s health care system needs a strong evidence base in order to improve. Clinical effectiveness and implementation science will be invaluable for institutions to build that evidence. This meeting will bring together health systems leaders committed to building their institution’s capacities in clinical effectiveness research and implementation science, working toward what the Institute of Medicine has called a “learning health system.”
The meeting will spotlight academic medical centers successfully focusing research on improving care, while providing an opportunity for all participants to discuss challenges and to share lessons that can inform strategies at their own institutions. Special themes include:
