Building on 6 years of collaboration among a network of 200+ organizations, a related 2019 NAM report, and the May 2022 Surgeon General’s Advisory, as well as nearly 2,000 comments received during a public input opportunity, the Clinician Well-Being Collaborative published its National Plan for Health Workforce Well-Being on October 3, 2022. The Plan provides guidance and next steps to work with leaders in health care and public health, government, payers, health IT, education, professional societies, and others involved to cultivate a health system to better support our care providers and optimize their well-being.
