The U.S. National Academy of Medicine’s Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity Report: Implementation in Asia

On Thursday, August 25, the U.S. National Academy of Medicine (NAM) will hold a summit in Singapore to publicize and disseminate the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity Report. The Singapore Summit is the first NAM dissemination event since the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity report release in early June. Report commissioners will gather to discuss key findings and recommendations from the report. This marks the start of the NAM’s regionally-focused dissemination efforts. The U.S. National Academy of Medicine’s Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity: Implementation in Asia Summit will be held at the National University Health System’s Auditorium, on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. The event will also be live-streamed for virtual attendees. Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, will be gracing the occasion as the Guest of Honour. This will be a full-day event; key highlights include:
- Opening introductions on the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity, Vision 2050, and Complex Systems Approach
- Presentations on the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity Report
- Keynote Lecture on Asia’s response to an aging population; a successful, all-of-society approach
- Panel Discussion on Social Infrastructure and Physical Environment
- Panel Discussion on Population Health, Healthcare, Science and Technology
- Keynote Lecture on Singapore’s action plan for tackling issues presented by an aging population; the actors and actions
